Evaluation Questions

After finishing the production of our film opening, we were given seven evaluation questions which were designed to make us question our decisions and what we would do differently at a different time. Me and my partner split the questions between us, with me doing questions 2,4 and 6 while he did the odd numbers. Both of us did question 7 separately. During answering the questions we will have to analyse our decisions as to camera work, sound, editing, shot type, angle and narrative structure. We will also look at target audience, distribution of our opening and representation of social groups as a whole.

The Questions were:
  • In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
  • How does your media product represent particular social groups?
  • What kind of media institution may distribute your media product and why?
  • Who would be the audience for your media product?
  • How did you attract/address your audience?
  • What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
  • Look back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
